Dhaynne Torres (born 1997, Queens, New York) is a painter and draftswoman born and raised in New York. She earned her MFA in Drawing and Painting at Brooklyn College in 2025. She had been an Artist-in-residence at Abrons Arts Center in 2021-22, where she later exhibited at the end of her residency in a group show. Her work explores fragmented moments within her present life in New York in which time slows down. Overlooked subjects are turned precious as they seem to be lit from within. The story of light and the intensity of colors are key elements in her paintings.
