Series on Bongs mini is a great class for folks who are ceramic-bong-curious, but would prefer a shorter term course than our traditional Series on Bongs 4 week course. A great space to explore making smaller bongs, bubblers, or more intricate pipe designs!

Ceramic Club presents Ceramic Slumber Party!! A movie night (with clay & friends)!! Enjoy a cozy night of movies and making at Mostly Good Studios. Mostly Littles Magical Monster Making
Magical Monster Making at Mostly Good Studios! Explore the medium of ceramics with your little one. Using clay and special ceramic paints, attendees will design and create magical creatures! For younger children, clay offers a great avenue for exploring sensory play a fine motor skills. For older kids, character creation and building with shapes 3 dimensionally will be emphasized. The reward of seeing your clay art transformed by its kiln firing is something everyone can enjoy!
Color in Reaction
Bundle dye your own scarf with an array of florals and natural materials at Mostly Good Studios! In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn all about the process of bundle dying with fabric, flowers and more. Explore coloring with pomegranate peels, onion skins, flower petals and roots. All guest will leave with a beautiful, one of a kind 20 inch scarf, designed by you! Light bites and refreshments included. Guests are urged to wear something that they don't mind getting dirty, as materials may stain clothes!
Mostly Littles - Thumbprint Parade
Join the Thumbprint Parade at Mostly Good Studios! Using ink and thumbprints, explore marking making, character design and tactile materials with your little one. Using our fingers as stamps, we'll transform them into spooky characters or animals and creatures using markers and crayons. A fun way to get creative and explore art together, and you'll leave with seasonal spooky art!
Creature Crafting
Mostly Good Studios presents- Creature Crafting! A ceramic creature sculpting and painting experience! Guests will learn the hand building techniques needed to bring animal companions of the past, present, or imagined - to life! Class will begin by gathering our resources, and designing our creature inspired blue prints. From there- we’ll move into sculpting, and we’ll finish off with an under glazing session. This class warmly invites people of all ceramic skill levels - including beginners!
Heart of Gold
Mostly Good Studios presents, CERAMIC SAMPLER, a beginner friendly ceramic workshop hosted at Heart of Gold Astoria! Enjoy experimenting with clay in a warm and welcoming environment under the instruction of artist Kaitlyn Sather. Learn the fundamental approaches to hand building with techniques like coiling, slab building, and the pinch pot method to help inform your creation. In this Ceramic Sampler experience we’ll design and sculpt a ceramic work using food safe stoneware clay! Ticket includes 1 draft beer or soft drink! Your work will be glazed, fired & ready for pickup at Mostly Good Studios (located at 920 35th avenue in Astoria) in 2-3 weeks!
Mostly Littles - Ghost Marionettes
Create little Ghost Marionettes with your little one! Using fabric handkerchiefs and other fun decorative materials, explore the process of beginner puppet making through a ghostly lens. Puppet making and play is a wonderful tool for children (and adults!) to explore story telling and social-emotional themes in a safe and creative way. In this class you'll not only explore art making and materials, but story telling too! All guests will leave with at least one ghost puppet for their next spooky puppet show.
Oil Painting
An intimate introduction to exploring oils! This class invites painters of all levels to explore oil painting in a relaxed environment. You'll learn the basics of oil painting, from what you'll need to get started to color mixing and application. Students will be using other art in the studio, like ceramic sculptures, as inspiration for their paintings. Opt to sketch and draw on your own, or have our teacher handle that bit for you beforehand- so you can focus on painting. A great low pressure class to see if oils are for you!
Tiny Shadows, Big Feelings
Mostly Good Studios presents- Tiny Shadows, Big Feelings! Transform a personal memory, dream, or meaningful moment into a simple yet powerful shadow performance. Using cut paper, overhead projectors, flashlights, and found light sources, students will learn the fundamentals of shadow puppetry, from puppet creation to storytelling through light and movement. Accessible for all skill levels, this workshop encourages deep personal expression while exploring the poetic language of shadows.
Potions
Celebrate spooky season with Potions at Mostly Good Studios! In this workshop, we will stir, sip, and create a little magic of our own as we craft potions to take home. We will begin with a short, grounding meditation to check in with our energy and discover whether we want our potions to call in, clear out or a little bit of both. You'll learn the energetic meanings and practical uses of easy-to-find potion ingredients (many can be found at the grocery store!) like herbs, oils and crystals. Then, we’ll make three potions together: a nourishing Body Oil, a magical Aura Mist and a Cleansing Potion. Everyone will leave with three handmade potions and the confidence to continue making their own magic at home!
Mostly Littles - Pumpkin Painting
Paint pumpkins with your little one at Mostly Good Studios! Each child & guardian pair will receive two small-medium sized gourds to decorate together! Jen will guide and assist you along the way through various acrylic painting techniques, and she'll provide seasonal reference drawings for inspiration! This class is a great way to explore art making, process and materials with your young ones, and get into the halloween spirit! For children 6 & up. Each ticket admits one guardian/child duo. Children must be accompanied by their guardian for the duration of class.
Mostly Good Bacteria - PICKLED FINGERS
Mostly Good Studios presents- Mostly Good Bacteria, PICKLED FINGERS! Learn the benefits of pickling and fermentation, and the differences between each! Learn how pairing vegetables and pickling effects your guts, vitamin absorption, and digestibility! All the while- you'll pickle your own 24oz jug of precut veg with a spooky halloween twist- think fingers and eyeballs- to make a perfect addition to this year’s halloween party spread. We'll end with a demo on fermentation, and you'll leave not only with your big ol' pickle jug, but a small jar of our chef Sam's pre-made ferment (like sauerkraut)!

PASTA BODY
Mostly Good Studios presents, PASTA BODY- hosted by Kaitlyn & Samantha. Pasta Body is a celebration of self love, food, and ART! An evening of showing appreciation and gratitude to our bodies & all they do for us by indulging in delicious food and thoughtful art making amongst loving company. Relax into an environment where no food, nor any art is “bad”. Where every body is fit to be a work of art. Our evening will begin with a 3 course pasta dinner made by our chef Samantha Renee Paz and will be followed by a class in clay figure sculpting, inspired by love for our bodies, taught by artist Kaitlyn Sather. Your work will be fired in our kiln and ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after the event.
Our hope is for you to experience a night in community, with a bit less judgment and a lot more love for your body.

Ceramic Club LOVE & CLAY
Ceramic Club presents, LOVE & CLAY, an evening of getting dirty in the name of love (and also clay). A ceramic workshop, a sexy valentines day party, a love ritual, a very fun flirty silly time!! Celebrate love (the very thing you are) by channeling that energy into a work of art. Follow a a guided project (like pipe making, bud vases, mugs), or create something of your own vision. Indulge in sweets & treats, sip on drinks while you work and giggle & kick your feet (because your crush is there). 3+ hours of sculpting and painting. Light bites and bevs (alcholic & non). Can be enjoyed with a partner or solo~
